Eagle-Grip® 4 Series Attachment

Eagle-Grip® 4 Series Heavy-Duty / High Volume fork mount attachments utilize an Eagle-Grip 4 double automatic clamping mechanism designed for handling a steel, plastic, or fiber chimed drum. Eagle-Grip 4 Series attachments are capable of handling one or two drums at a time – 2,000 lbs. (907 kg) on the single drum handling attachment and up to 4,000 lbs. (1,814 kg) on the double drum handling attachment. All EG4 models come standard with rubber belt(s) attached to every drum cradle to help prevent cosmetic damage to the drum or drums being handled. The Eagle-Grip® 4 double articulating heads are user-friendly in that they allow the EG4 double drum handling attachment to pick and place drums even when misaligned or slightly separated up to 9” (23 cm) apart. Eagle-Grip 4 Series fork mounted models provide easy installation by the operator within seconds either to or from a fork truck. EG4 models are provided with totally enclosed 43” fork pockets for use with lift trucks equipped with 42” forks. Standard fork pocket size for EG4 models are 7″ Wide x 2.75″ High x 43″ Long. 49-inch Fork Pockets are also available for 48-inch forks. In addition, specific custom sized fork pockets are available for all Eagle-Grip attachments. Standard EG4 fork mount attachments are 30” (76 cm) wide for the single drum handling attachment and 38.5” (97.8 cm) wide for a two drum handling attachment. A Narrow Fork Frame is also available at time of order, which measures 24” (61 cm) in overall width and allows an operator to pick and place a single drum at a time on the far side of pallet, even in a congested rack. EG4’s are also available as a Class II carriage mount (CM), in lieu of fork mount.

EG4SRC Double clamping mechanism with spark resistant clamp (all metal surfaces including clamping jaws which contact the drum to be stainless steel).

Quick Claw Safety Restraint System (Requires 42” long forks) eliminates the need for operator to dismount from the lift truck to install the OSHA required safety chain. Quick-Claw cam locks automatically lock the attachment onto the lift truck forks when the attachment is lifted. A safety chain is not required with the Quick-Claw option.
