Eagle-Grip® EG4M8DC2-F Empty Drum Handling Attachment, which now features 8 magnets, is designed to unload double, or triple stacked empty steel drums from trailers without the risk of injuries associated from lifting and lowering drums manually. The lift truck driver can activate & deactivate all 8 magnets in order to grip and pick-up 1 or 2 empty drums at a time by pressing the “ON” button of the remote control. A series of 16 green LED lights (8 on the top of the attachment and 8 on the bottom) illuminate to let the operator know the magnets are activated and able to grip drums. Pressing the “OFF” button on the remote control again will deactivate the magnets (turning the LED lights off) and releasing the drums from the clamp. The magnets are contained in stainless-steel housings which swivel to grip misaligned drums. The two 12-volt AGM deep cycle batteries provide enough power to unload 3 trailers of triple stacked drums between charges. Magnets have been tested to 200,000 cycles for long term use. A hinged cabinet holds the batteries, automatic battery charger, master disconnect switch, DC to DC converter, & battery discharge indicator. Finished in safety yellow powder coating for durability. This product is not for use on 17H drums which have 3 rolled hoops. Lift Trucks that use the EG4M8DC2-F Attachment with the intent of unloading triple-stacked drums from a trailer cannot have a load back rest.
