EDS Stationary Drum Dumper

with Air Powered Lift, CR Clamp, and Rotate

EDS Stationary Drum Dumpers with Air powered lift, CR clamp and rotate (for hazardous areas) are designed for handling a drum with a standard capacity of 800 lbs. (362.9 kg) but are also available in configurations designed to handle up to 1,200 lbs. (545 kg), contingent on equipment configuration. EDS models are available with single or two-stage masts for lift heights from 48″ to 144″ (122 cm to 366 cm) of vertical lift. The CR clamp features two 8” (20.3 cm) high clamping jaws, each lined with white SBR rubber to provide a durable yet secure non-marking surface to grip the drum. CR clamps are designed for handling a steel, plastic, or fiber drum from 20” (50.8 cm) to 24” (61 cm) in diameter, and can rotate 360° either left or right for dispensing. Drum Dumpers come standard with safety yellow powder coating for durability but are also available with FDA compliant metallic gray powder coating, or full 304 stainless-steel construction for food and pharmaceutical applications The Air powered hydraulic system makes it ideal for heavy duty drum handling applications where DC powered equipment is not permitted. At time of order, stationary models are also available with a custom rotating bearing (EDSR models) which allows the operator to feed drums to the Drum Dumper on one side and rotate the mast and clamp toward the tank or reactor for dispensing. Bearings rotate with minimal effort and are easy to use by any operator.

  • Unclamp/clamp control require holding open a secondary valve to permit the unclamp/clamp valve to operate. This secondary valve prevents accidental opening of elevated drums.
  • Extremely low decibel air motor with air filter/regulator and shut off valve
  • Brass ball valve with 1/2″ NPT female thread to accept end user supplied male coupling.
  • Requires consistent air supply at 100 psi with the hose and coupling having an inside diameter of 1/2” is required to produce the maximum power from air / hydraulic power unit

Small Drum Adaptor (for 16” (40.6cm) to 20” (50.8cm) diameter drums) The small drum adapter is comprised of two individual curved sections with white SBR rubber vulcanized to the metal curve to provide a durable yet secure non-marking surface to grip the drum. Each curve is slid onto a clamping jaw then locked into place by inserting a stainless-steel retaining pin & circle cotter pin on a lanyard.

Stainless-Steel Adjustable Foot (Quantity 1 Bolt-on, 3530061) & Stainless-Steel Pony Hold Down (Quantity 1 Bolt-on, 3530062). When handling a heavy plastic, fiber, or tapered drum it may be necessary to add either a pony hold-down or foot support to reduce the risk of slippage from the clamping jaws. The CR clamping jaws have two pre-drilled and tapped locations for easy installation. Both supports are constructed in stainless-steel for cleanliness and durability.

Fabricate base frame and mast in 304 Stainless-Steel Construction* (includes food grade grease & hydraulic fluid, stainless cylinder, excludes lift chain & select components). *Stainless-Steel construction is stitch welded, not continuous, and finished by glass bead blasting to provide a #4 brush finish with a gray matte uniform surface. Stainless-Steel units are not wash down safe. Stainless-Steel Construction is not available for trial, return, exchange, or cancellation.
